I never thought I would ever say these words, but here I am saying them. “I’m writing a BLOG!” I guess the saying is true, NEVER say NEVER! This is something I have been wanting to do for a little while simply because the blog postings you get from the office while they can contain some great content they certainly are not written by me. It’s great to have the information but still does not allow me to connect to those on our email list at a deeper level. That being said I don’t believe that I have life changing advice to give nor do I feel as though I have everything figured out when it comes to owning a business or raising 5 kids but what I do know is that I have similar struggles as everyone else.
This blog is for me to be REAL with our practice members and to let you all know, especially you moms, that you are not alone in this journey. As I write this my kids are 10, 8, 5, 3, and almost 7 months. It seems that it doesn’t matter whether you have 2 or 10 – LIFE IS CRAZY!!! We all have our own styles of parenting but whatever your style is we all need to remember that we all love our children and are doing the best we can with what we are given. There are many moments where I wish that I was a stay-at-home mom or a mom who homeschools or sometimes there are even days where I think ‘life would be easier if we only had 2,’ one thing is certain – that is not the hand God has dealt me. If I am being honest it’s more that I wish I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and actually be good at it. I absolutely LOVE what I do and for me, I am a better mom because I work. I so admire all the stay-at-home moms that I see in my office. It is THE most difficult job in the world. I can’t tell you how many Sunday nights come along and I am thankful that I get to go to work on Monday. I truly adore my children but sometimes I need a break from them, if you know what I mean!!!
So here is to the start of another exciting adventure, carving out time for one more thing and keeping my sanity while enjoying the ride of LIFE!
