Chiropractic Care
You may automatically think of back or neck pain relief when chiropractic care is mentioned. For us, chiropractic is about getting your body to function the best that it can and heal the best that it can without outside interference.
At our practice, we look at health from the inside out versus the outside in. “Chiropractic is not replacing anything else and there’s nothing that can replace chiropractic care either,” said Dr. Kylie, who refers to chiropractic as a strategy for health, much like eating well and exercising.
Offering an Array of Techniques
The following methods are used at Simnioniw Family Chiropractic:
Activator Methods®
A handheld instrument is used to provide a light-force adjustment. This technique is ideal for those who are afraid to be adjusted or who prefer a less intense adjustment and one that doesn’t make a sound.
Drop Table
With this method, a special table is used to help us perform the adjustment. This technique is ideal for patients who don’t like the cracking or popping sound associated with chiropractic care or who don’t want to be put into a side posture position.
Tonal Technique
This highly gentle method focuses on giving the most precise adjustment and focuses on the tone of the nervous system versus the individual vertebrae.
Here are some of the many health challenges that can be addressed with chiropractic care:
- ADHD
- Colic
- Ear infections
- Fertility struggles
- Headaches
- Low back pain
- Reflux
- Sensory processing disorder
The choice is always yours as to how long you want to benefit from chiropractic. Whether you want to just get out of pain and only return when you need us that’s okay. Other patients choose to come in weekly because they recognize the benefits of maintenance care.
It’s similar to working out at the gym. Some like to work out consistently and others don’t. Regardless of the frequency of your visits, you can always benefit from chiropractic.
How do you put nervous patients at ease?
If you’ve never been adjusted before, we will always walk you through an adjustment. If there’s a technique you don’t like we can switch to a different one.
No, Dr. Kylie has many different tools in her toolbox and will tailor care to what each patient needs and what they’re comfortable with.
Simply walking is one of the best ways to process an adjustment. We may recommend different stretches or the application of ice or heat.
